During Christopher J. Maier's tenure at George Mason School of Law Chris served as a special research assistant to Prof. Kimberly Moore, Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Track. In May of 2006 Prof. Moore was nominated to sit as a judge on the Court of Appeals for Federal Circuit. We wish Judge Moore well in her future endeavors.

Partners, Chris Maier and Tim Maier will be attending the 55th Council meeting of the Asian Patent Attorney Association in Singapore. The partners will then travel to China and Korea to meet with firm clients and present on recent topics in US patent law.

The article showcases our belief that extra precautions are needed in handling patent matters, particularly, for clients having smaller patent portfolios, because each patent represents a substantial investment undertaken by the client to protect their intellectual property.
